This site carries recollections of the Windsor free festivals of the early 1970s. Click on recollections, then click on Ubi Dwyer. For the information of Wiz: Ubi was badly injured when knocked off his bike in the mountains south of Dublin, around the early 1990s. He recovered, changed personality completely, eventually retired from working as a hospital porter, and died in 2001. He worked as a hospital porter in a hospital near Dun Laoghaire. He lived in a small caravan parked beside his mother's suburban home. While she studied theology Ubi promoted his particular brand of musical anarchy. I could tell you more if you want.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9752993.post-1149492319285552442006-06-05T07:25:00.000+00:002006-06-05T07:25:00.000+00:00Mick Farren's blog:http://doc40.blogspot.com/Mick Farren's blog:

http://doc40.blogspot.com/CJ Stonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04980661005380997141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9752993.post-1149422674753713982006-06-04T12:04:00.000+00:002006-06-04T12:04:00.000+00:00It's difficult to define why Watchfield was quite ...It's difficult to define why Watchfield was quite different to Windsor for me. I enjoyed myself but it's true there wasn't the same spirit at the event and the site lacked the 'majesty' of those wonderful trees at WindsorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9752993.post-1149414929659014472006-06-04T09:55:00.000+00:002006-06-04T09:55:00.000+00:00Hi Wiz, yes I knw that Bill Dwyer died, though I d...Hi Wiz, yes I knw that Bill Dwyer died, though I didn't know the circumstances. Kind of appropriate that colourful bike don't you think. Glad you liked the story, and I was pleased you put up a link to my blog.

"You're never too old to have a happy childhood."CJ Stonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04980661005380997141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9752993.post-1149414718524004782006-06-04T09:51:00.000+00:002006-06-04T09:51:00.000+00:00I went to Phun City, 2 Windsors and Watchfield fro...I went to Phun City, 2 Windsors and Watchfield from your list and have memories of them all! I was something which inspired me - to be a part of the free festival crowd and culture but it had a lot of bad points too. I much preferred the free festivals to the ones you pay at though and not because of the money - the whole vibe is different! The Green Bardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06221923991327591141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9752993.post-1149411307096418572006-06-04T08:55:00.000+00:002006-06-04T08:55:00.000+00:00Hi Chris, it's nice to read your blogg and it is a...Hi Chris, it's nice to read your blogg and it is always good that other people are been informed of the great time period in the early 70's and late 60's. Especially the festivals. Not sure I let you know that Bill UBI Dwyer was killed when a car I beleave hit coulourfull pushbike. I think all that met UBI has a lasting thought of him. To me he was a light which I was privledged to share time with him on the Windsor festivals.
Wiz formally Ron EvansAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
